1. Mix all the dry ingredients together: oat bran, brown sugar, cream of tartar, butter, almond extract, vanilla powder and banana 

  2. Add the oat milk to the batter and add the dough to a grease doughnut tray

  3. Bake for at least 10minutes or until fully cooked and remember these are quite chewy

  4. Melt the chocolate using 2-4 tbsp of boiling water and dip each doughnut into the melted chocolate

  5. Serve with a sprinkle of ground almonds. 

Chewy Chocolate Doughnuts

  • 150ml buttermilk or vegan alternative (oatmilk with vinegar)

  • 150g oat bran

  • 70g brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp cream of tartar

  • 2 tbsp almond extract

  • 1 sachet of vanilla powder

  • 3 tbsp butter melter or coconut

  • 1 ripe banana 

For the topping 

  • 2-4 tbsp of water 

  • 4-6 cubes of dark chocolate 

  • handful of ground almonds
